Welcome to the Marling Farms CommunityOur Community, located on beautiful Kent Island, is a friendly, family-oriented community.
We are located at the southern-most point in Chester Maryland, between Crab Alley and Prospect Bays. Our amenities include 4 beaches: one with a pavilion, two with docks, and three with swing sets. We also have a baseball field and basketball half court.
During the day, you will find people walking, jogging, and bicycling throughout the community. We also have annual events such as our Community Picnic to celebrate the start of summer, our Ice Cream Social to celebrate the end of the school year, and our Wine, Beer, and Cheese Social to celebrate the start of autumn. We are truly a wonderful community!

Mosquito Control Spraying
Did you know that the community contracts with the county to provide mosquito control? This program begins with a weekly inspection of mosquito counts and landing rates. If a particular threshold is reached, the county sends a truck equipped with a sprayer to the community to dispense an adulticide and larvacide.
If a truck is sent to the community, it will always be sometime Monday night into Tuesday morning between the hours of 7 PM and 4 AM. The driver is instructed to shut down the sprayer if people are near the path of the spray. So, if you see the truck coming down your street, please go inside for ten minutes to allow the truck to cover as much of the community as possible.
More details regarding the program are found in the documents from the county posted in the following section of our website: Community Documents.
Annual Community Picnic
Thanks to all who attended the annual picnic. As usual, it was a great time.
A special thanks goes to Link George and the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department for providing the abundance of ice. Another special thanks to Baker's Liquors for providing the beer.
Annual Wine, Beer, and Cheese Social
Date and Time to be determined later
Again the Community will host a social event where we come together at the Beach 3 Pavilion to share wine, beer, cheese, and cheer while the Sun sets over Crab Alley Bay. Details will be sent out as we get closer to the event, typically early autumn.
